POLICE FEDERATION RESCUE

PF Rescue is a unique breakdown service designed especially for Police Federation members, and support staff covering the whole of the UK and if required Europe. PF Rescue offers a comprehensive package at specially reduced rates.

PF Rescue is a full emergency service. Operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing help through a nationwide network of over 1,200 recovery operators with access to over 6,000 recovery vehicles.

Cover is available following a mechanical breakdown, accident, fire, theft or vandalism - PLUS we will also provide assistance if the only driver suffers a serious illness or inujry and cannot drive.

Your car is covered whoever is driving and just one free 0800 call puts you in touch with our Rescue Control Centre. By using the latest computer mapping technology, help can be on its way before you put the phone down!

• Roadside Assistance wherever possible your vehicle will be repaired at the roadside so that you can continue your journey. You only pay for any parts used.
• Recovery following a breakdown or accident. If repairs cannot be quickly carried out at the roadside the vehicle and up to 5 passengers can be recovered to the nearest competent repairer, your home address or other chosen destination.
• Home Assistance or recovery to the nearest competent repairer.
• Alternative Travel/Emergency Accommodation if your vehicle breaks down more than 25 miles from your home, we will reimburse up to £100 in respect of either alternative travel or one night’s emergency accommodation and your vheicle will be recovered to a destination of your choice.
• Caravans and Trailers used for private purposes are covered free of charge.
• Free Emergency Telephone Number No coins are necessary.
• Message service to let your family know where you are.
• Additional Cars
• PF Rescue covers any person driving your car. If there is a second or third car based at home then there is a 50% reduction in the premium required.
• European Cover is available for an additional premium and extends your PF Rescue to include trips to Europe (vehicles up to 10 years only).

European Benefits

Following a car breakdown we will provide emergency roadside assistance, towing to a local garage and if necessary repatriation home coupled with additional travel expenses to make sure your party can return home.

And cover doesn’t just operate following a breakdown. We will provide help if your car is immobile following an accident, fire or theft. If the only driver becomes ill, again we can assist.

The Main Terms and Conditions

This leaflet describes the main benefits of PF Rescue.

Cover is subject to the full terms and conditions which can be obtained on application.

Cover applies to the nominated cars(s) only which must be a Saloon Car, Hatchback or Estate Car, Car Derived Van or Motorcycle (over 150cc). LCV’s, Pick-ups or Caravanettes are not acceptable.

Any changes must be notified immediately.

Breakdown means a mechanical or electrical failure, accident or theft which renders the vehicle immobile.

UK Cover applies within the mainland of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

European cover applies within the countries of Austria, Andorra, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Spain, Sweden, Norway or Switzerland.

Before you start your holiday you should ensure that your vehicle is in good working order and has been serviced as necessary.

Ferry and/or toll fees are excluded.

The cost of any parts, components or materials used in any repair is not covered.

Service will not be provided if the vehicle is off road or cannot be reached due to snow, mud, sand or flood.

You must take all reasonable steps to prevent a breakdown and your vehicle must not be driven in an unsafe or unroadworthy condition or until recommended repairs have been carried out.

You must carry a roadworthy spare tyre with your vehicle at all times.

You must keep your vehicle properly maintained and serviced.

If the breakdown occurs at or within one mile of your home and the vehicle cannot be re-started recovery can only be arranged to the nearest competent repairer.

If service is required it must be requested immediately.

No responsibility can be accepted for any costs incurred for service which is not arranged by the Rescue Control Centre.

We cannot guarantee the delivery time where a car is being recovered to the UK. We aim to repatriate cars within 14 days of your return home.

The vehicle must not be used for private hire, public hire, racing, rallying, pacemaking or in any contest or speed trial or rigorous reliability testing.
